Al’s always been a fan of bigger bikes. He’s said many times, “No replacement for displacement.” Well, he proves it here with his Z1000 police special. Al can fill in the blanks….
“Front Suspension is off of a 1995 Suzuki RF900R, dual Nilsin disc brakes, ZR1 Dunlop Qualifier, polished forks, black Suzuki rims 16″ with Kawasaki Mean Green pin striping”
“Rear suspension is a Suzuki RF900R swing arm, EK 630 Chain, 160, ZR 17 fatty, rear sets are off of a 2005 Suzuki GXR 600. rear shock from Benji’s Cafe Racers.”
For more pictures and information on the build, as well as Al himself, visit his blog.
Excellent photography by Mike McCall of McCall Media.
Bill, whose Triton we’ve featured before, has a keen eye for exotic old bikes. He recently just added this Ossa to his stable. Don’t worry, I’m as jealous as you are.
Came across these while in Death Valley a couple weeks ago. The Karma, from Fisker Automotive. They’re on the verge of production. The Karma is equipped with an electric drive train that is supplemented with a gasoline generator. One can drive 50 miles without using a drop of gas, and with the additional help of the generator, the range is extended to approximately 250 miles. The Fisker people were range testing on this day.
Aside from the headlight bucket, the bodywork for the Pariah has been sorted. GS450E tank just arrived and one-off seat pan/tailpiece is nearly finished. The frame will need some additional modification, but I’ve been waiting for onoe of these tanks for pop up for a while and my inspiration on the project has been revitalized.
Once the needed frame modifications have been made, the front of the tank will sit down about an inch and a half from the position pictured below. Also, those changes will allow the rear of the seat to sit down some, and a rear frame loop will keep it clean out back.
